Weekly Update [Oct.19-25]

Sunday
  • Talked to Mindy-san and had an art swap with her. It was rather nice considering that I got the chance to see her absolutely sexah artz for school and I show her some of the recent works I have posted on Restricted Universe.
  • Watched Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull with Aniki. GOOD FRIGGIN MOVIE! D:
  • Study for final written exam in theatre TOMORROW
  • Bring everything for Lab class (REMEMBER CALCULATOR)
  • Tried editing SS DUE THURSDAY for CW, but realized it the "short story" was more like a chapter to a much larger story and wouldn't make much sense unless I added in a lot more. The editing turned into full out creation and by the end I had over 30 pages. SOOO I scaped it.
  • Wrote a new story (which really isn't all that new) "Never Stop Myself" and made everything perfect so I could hand it in on Tuesday and tell professor I had to change the SS I was going to hand in to her.
Monday
  • Met this really awesome guy (Vlad) in my Astronomy class who was just fucking brilliant with math. Because of him, Aniki and I got out of class a whole 45 minutes early!! I vote to have him added to my lab group for the rest of the semester. SRLY.
  • Had exam in Theatre. 40 questions (on what?! omfg) Thought I was going to fucking kill someone.
  • Went bowling with some friends and Aniki came along because he was sick and tired of being sick and tired. (<3's>
  • PAID CREDIT CARD BILLS.
  • When we got home Aniki and I crashed in bed and didn't move until midnight. Then we did homework.
  • Panicked like a little bitch when I thought I hadn't fed my cats that day and ended up feeding them at 1 in the morning only to remember I had fed them before we had left out. =__='
  • Finished Astro study sheet for TOMORROW
Tuesday
  • Was going to study for Astro exam on THURSDAY but never got the chance to. ;A;
  • In SF, was given 7 new stories/book titles to read for class and new reading sheet. First one (Billenium) needs to be read by THRUSDAY. Quiz THURSDAY
  • In Astro, went over study sheet and went into observatory. Talked with Ariel, Hugo, Christina, and Vlad before heading over to next class.
  • In CW, had to do something extra for the SS. Was given a new journal that asked for specific information to be added/included in the piece. Also handed in my new SS and told her what had happened. OK, by her. :] We also had a huge debate about school politics. This was so chaotic I thought people might start throwing things around the room. XD;;
  • Sociology was CANCELLED from since last week.
  • Threatre was CANCELLED. Did not need to go back.
  • Got home and read some of Billenium. Didn't finished.
  • Made love (unexpected, thus why we didn't finish reading *blush*)
  • Credit Card bill due today. PAID
Wednesday
  • TODAY IS SAKI-PAPA'S BIRTHDAY!!!!
  • Aniki and I spent most of the day getting ready for when he'd come home that afternoon and spend the next day and a half with us.
  • Aniki was having a bad day though. He was having really bad stomach cramps whenever he leaned over and such.
  • Still, we both took turns baking a cake and decorating it in the kitchen for most of the morning
  • Then went to pick up some work that we missed (since we didn't go to classes) and handed in work that was to be collected.
  • The cake turned out really nice.
  • Saki had a SUCH A GODAWFUL AMOUNT OF FUN. He loved our presents for him. XD
  • Aniki bought him a new cellphone, the cyan iPhone he had wanted, with the money he had made with a large commission he did for a client in the library in Shinjuku. He still had some money left over (about 5000¥) so we bought more art supplies since we've both been devouring our copics, paints, pencils, inks and pens. X_x And my tablet's been feeling the stress of everything too. I'm... trying not to kill it... too much. >_>;;
  • I bought Saki-papa tickets to see the Yoshida Brothers at their next live as well as a new shamisen. He nearly had a heartattack when he saw them. XD I think he wasn't expecting it because tickets aren't sold for at least another month or so, and the shamisen was entirely spontaneous. I remember he had told me that the back had dry-rotten or something like that a couple months go so I kne whe was in need of a new one, but I wasn't thinking about getting him one for his birthday until I saw it in the store. It was simply beautiful. The price wasn't too bad either. Bit into my account a little, but I'm overjoyed with how happy he was.
  • He stayed with us the whole night and we all re-watched Indie. He enjoyed that a bunch too. xD
  • Studied for Astro exam with Aniki. We both made up some of the silliest ways to remember shit. (In the winter there are Serious Pro Belts = Sirius, Procyon, Betelgeuse // In the summer ADV airs new seasons of anime = Altair, Deneb, and Vega) XD!!
  • Finished reading Billenium for TOMORROW before we went to sleep.
Thursday
  • Found out SF was CANCELLED! NO QUIZ!! Zack texted me and broke the news to me. It was really nice of him because we were already late and rushing around to get to class on time.
  • In Astro: HAD EXAM!!! ....and knew everything on it. XD This made me incredibly happy. I think this one will be an A-/A+
  • In CW: Handed in SS. Chris and Kristina read their SS. Made commentary. Loved Chris' the best. It was so morbid and wonderful. *_*
  • Had a night observation but didn't go because neither Aniki or me were feeling very well.
  • We went home after going to the post office and mailing out commissions and letters for friends.
  • Crashed in bed and promptly went to sleep.
  • Woke up around 3.40 in the morning and stayed up until 7.
Friday
  • Everything went wrong this morning.
  • Someone from the hospital came to see about Aniki even though I told them not to come.
  • Aslanti attacked the guy who freaked out and was going to call the police. Saki took care of it for us and gave the guy a fine for trespassing on private property. XD (this was quite absurd, but SO funny)
  • A dude came to "mow our lawn" and started without letting us know. WE WERE STILL ASLEEP SO WE ONLY FIGURED OUT WHAT HAPPENED AFTERWARDS WHEN THERE'S THIS BILL OF 5000¥ ON OUR DOORSTEP.
  • As you can only imagine, we were highly PISSED. *seeeeeethe*
  • ONCE AGAIN SAKI-PAPA'S ASSISSTANCE WAS DESPERATELY NEEDED.
  • There were two big spills in the kitchen which lost us our lunch so we didn't eat anything. -__-;;
  • Wasn't feeling all that good either. BUT THAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN BECAUSE I HADN'T EATEN ANYTHING IN TWO DAYS!! *seethe seeeeeeeethe!*
  • Went to theatre. Had no idea what the hell was going on. Practice for next week thrusday's play. (Not sure if we'll be in it, but we're practicing just in case.)
  • Got home late and went to bed.
  • Woke up 3 hours ago and is typing this thing now. :)
Saturday
  • Not sure what to do today. Maybe just stay home and get some work done or just sleep. I'm so tired lately. X_x
  • Will work on CW journal
  • Will update blogs
  • Will try to read one or more of the next stories/books for the next SF class

-Later!

What Your Taste in Art Says About You

Your result for What Your Taste in Art Says About You Test...

Non-conformist, Visionary, and Independent

10 Abstract, -4 Islamic, -7 Ukiyo-e, 3 Cubist, 0 Impressionist and -26 Renaissance!

Abstract art uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which exists independently of what may appear to others as visual realities. Western had been underpinned by the logic of perspective and an attempt to reproduce an illusion of visible reality. It allowed the progressive thinking artists to show a different side to the world around them. By the end of the 19th century many artists felt a need to create a 'new kind of art' which would encompass the fundamental changes taking place in technology, science and philosophy. Abstract artists created art that was diverse and reflected the social and intellectual turmoil in all areas of Western culture.

People that chose abstract art as their preferred artform tend to be visionsaries. They see things in the world around them and in people that others may miss because they look beyond what is visual only with the eye. They rely on their inner thoughts and feelings in dealing with the world around them instead of on what they are told they should think and feel. They feel freed from the tendancy to be bound by traditional thought and experiences. They look more toward their own ideas and experiences than what they are told by their religious upbringing or from scientific evidence. They tend to like to prove theories themselves instead of relying on the insight or ideas of others. They are not bound by common and mundane, but like to travel and have new experiences. They value intelligence, but they also enjoy a challenge. They can be rather argumentative when they are being forced or feel as if they are being forced to conform.
